1- Lightly brown all sides of the 1kg (2.2lbs) roast on a pan lightly greased with olive oil.
2- Prepare 480ml (2 cups) of beef stock.
3- In a slow cooker add 3 chopped carrots, 3 chopped potatoes, 2 chopped celery stalks, 1/2 chopped onion, 1-2 garlic cloves, rosemary, salt, pepper, italian seasoning, garlic powder and the roast
4- Cook on high for about 4-5 hours, spooning the liquid over the roast every 30 minutes.
NOTES: Feel free to add whatever seasoning you wish. You can also use the liquid after its cooked to make gravy. This is my first attempt at using a slow cooker so any advice would be much appreciated.
